A terrorist attack struck Brussels, killing at least 31 people and injuring over 250.

The attack was claimed by ISIS and has been linked to the November attack in Paris, which killed 130 people.

The Belgian government announced three days of mourning and many world leaders have expressed their solidarity with the Belgian people.

All over the world, people and governments have been paying tribute to the people who died in the tragic attacks.

Especially in the Belgian capital, there are a number of tributes taking place. A minute of silence was observed at noon on Wednesday. The Belgian royal couple as well as the Prime Minister Charles Michel were near the Schuman roundabout close to where the metro attack struck when silence fell across the city.

From flowers and candles to national monuments being lit up with the Belgian flag, the world is showing it stands with Belgium.
