Unbreakable, Unhackable and Sexy: Meet the new Turing Phone

This phone is quite bewildering yet intriguing. That’s Turing Phone for you.

Brainchild of Syl Chao, CEO of Turing Robotic Industries, Turing Phone is super-strong and intends to herald the next age of mobile devices.

Chao claims that 2015 is the end of the smartphone and the beginning of the "cipher phone”.

Apart from having a tough and secure hardware, Turing Phone is also secure in terms of software.

Talking about hardware, the phone is made out of liquidmorphium, which is basically just really strong metal-like 1.5 times the tensile strength of titanium.

Chao told Gizmodo that the real appeal in the Turing Phone lies in its design.

The phone in dark purple and blue variant, known as Beowulf, draws inspiration for its colour palette from the actual story Beowulf.

The liquidmorphium may give a hint that the phone would be crazily heavy but it's actually not too bad.

The Turing Phone sports a 5.5-inch full HD screen and has outdated Snapdragon 801 processor and the pixel density and runs Android 5.1. The cameras may be appealing as it has 13MP rear and 8MP front camera. The phone runs on 3GB of RAM and is available with 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB options.

However, the edges of the phone may garner some thumbs down as the corners are pointed and palm piercing, which can be a discomfort.

This is not all. This Turing Phone has no 3.5-mm jack for headphones but is equipped with Bluetooth.

And your microUSB cables will be of no use as Turing Phone uses a proprietary charger, using a MagSafe-like alternative. It has a fingerprint sensor, but it's actually on the left side of the phone.

Chao told Gizmodo it’s more intuitive that way, and he may be right.

The Turing Phone is waterproof, like IPX8 which is means under 10 feet of water for two hours thanks to nano-coating around the device.
Meanwhile, from security point of view, Turing Phone gives end-to-end encryption and authentication but though an offline private key, which Turing believes, is the most secure communication you can have between two devices.

Gizmodo reported that the real secure stuff that's happening on this phone can only really happen between two people using a Turing Phone.
The pre-orders start from July 3 for $610 for a 16GB unlocked device that plays nice with AT&T and T-Mobile.
