The world's most expensive bottle of vodka has been looted from a bar in Denmark in an audacious burglary captured on camera.
A masked man entered Cafe 33 in Copenhagen, a bar which stocks more than 1,200 brands of vodka, and made off with a diamond-encrusted bottle of Russo-Baltique vodka.
The burglary, which took place on Tuesday, was caught by numerous cameras inside the bar, the footage from which was published by BBC News.
Brian Ingberg, who owns Cafe 33, said that the bottle was on loan from a wealthy foreign businessman.
The bar posted images of the theft, of the vodka bottle, and a request for help on Facebook shortly after the incident.
According to Danish broadcaster TV2, the owner is Leonard Yankelovich, who runs the Latvian car company Dartz, which is also behind Russo-Baltique vodka.
The item is said to be worth $1.3 million, mainly thanks to the lavish bottle in which the vodka is held. It is made from 13 pounds of gold and silver mixed together, and has a cap studded with diamonds.
Replicas of the bottle featured on "House of Cards," in a scene where Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, hosted the Russians for dinner inside the White House.

According to TV2, the bottle was not insured.
In an interview over Skype, Yankelovich, dismissed any notion of paying a ransom for the bottle, saying that he does not deal with "terrorists." He said the thief probably decided to drink the vodka.
Though the bottle has been described as the most expensive in the world, it isn't the only one.
Another company has offered to sell bottles of "Billionaire Vodka" for $3.7 million, though it isn't clear whether anybody has ever actually bought one.
A spokesman for Copenhagen Police told the Associated Press that they were investigating the theft.
