A new feature may be coming to Facebook that lets you pop videos out of your Newsfeed and move them wherever you want
It looks like Facebook wants to make it easier for you to watch videos while you catch up on posts in your Newsfeed. The company appears to be testing a new feature that allows you to float videos alongside your Newsfeed so that you can watch clips as you scroll.
The video would pop out of the Newsfeed so that you could move it wherever you like alongside the feed. Blog The Next Web was the first to notice this new feature.
Here's what it will look like:

It looks like you'll be able to float videos in your Facebook Newsfeed by pressing a button that appears at the bottom of the video player alongside the volume controls, as shown below.

Facebook doesn't appear to be rolling out the feature widely just yet - I checked my Facebook Newsfeed, and there were no buttons for floating videos just yet, but one of my colleagues had it.
The video disappears if you navigate to a page other than your Newsfeed on Facebook, though.
It's yet another sign that Facebook is making a bigger push into video. The social networking giant has focused on establishing a strong video platform over the past year, and it's been pulling in 4 billion video views per day as of April 2015. That's up from the 1 billion video views per day it was seeing last September.
