In hopes of snapping out of a recent slump, Adam Scott has turned to one of the most successful caddies in golf for The Open.

After recently splitting with his caddie Dave Clark, Scott lured Fanny Sunesson out of retirement to help him out at Carnoustie.

Sunesson is best known for helping Nick Faldo win four majors in the '90s. She was the first woman to win a men's major as a caddie. According to Golf-Monthly, she also is credited with helping Martin Kaymer reach No. 1 in 2011 and most recently worked with Henrik Stenson before retiring in 2012.

According to Golf-Monthly, she has since become a swing instructor and helps golfers work on the mental game. That may be of importance to Scott, who has struggled on the greens, ranking 192nd in strokes gained, according to the PGA Tour.

Scott has struggled in 2018, with just one top-10 finish this year. He finished tied for 32nd at the Masters and didn't make the cut at the U.S. Open. He finished 22nd at last year's Open.
