Punit Goenka reappointed as MD and CEO for ZEEL

• Punit Goenka will be the MD & CEO of ZEEL for the next five years.
• He was appointed CEO in July 2008 and has been MD of the media firm since January 1, 2010.
• The statement also said that approval on the reappointment will be sought from shareholders subsequently.

In a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has decided to reappoint Punit Goenka, in principle as the Managing Director & CEO of the company, for a further period of 5 years upon conclusion of his current term on December 31,2019.

The statement further said that shareholder approval would be sought subsequently.

Goenka, the elder son of Essel group promoter and Zee chairman Subhash Chandra was appointed CEO in July 2008 and has been MD of the media firm since January 1, 2010.
