BMW celebrated its 100th birthday this year. In that time, it has become Europe's best-loved car brand.
To stay ahead of the curve, the German car company announced it would focus on "high-definition digital maps, sensor technology, cloud technology and artificial intelligence," as it moves into its second century.
"We will lead the BMW Group into a new era, one in which we will transform and shape both individual mobility and the entire sector in a permanent way," Harald Krueger BMW's CEO announced in March.
