With Amazon's second Prime Day event in full swing, certain rival retailers are trying to play spoiler.

In the tech world, that includes Best Buy and Walmart. Both stores have launched their own sales events this week, in an attempt to siphon at least a little attention from Amazon's self-made "holiday."

Unfortunately, much like Prime Day itselfthe vast majority of their deals aren't worth shopping. Still, there are some decent bargains, and none of them require you to sign up for a $99/year Prime subscription to buy them.

Here are a few standouts.

- At Walmart, the 32GB Apple TV is down to $129, which is $20 off its usual price. There truly isn't much else beyond that, though the site is offering free shipping on any online order through July 15.

- At Best Buy, the 64GB Apple TV is down to $149, a $50 discount.

- The DJI Phantom 3 Professional is down to $850. Though it's not quite the newest model, it's not terribly far off, and this is about $150 off its typical going rate on Amazon.

- There's a good range of TV sales there, too, though this 55-inch Samsung 4KTV looks like a good bet. At $550, it's $350 off Samsung's normal price. While I haven't tested it myself, specialist sites like Rtings have praised its family of TVs in the past.

- The Jawbone Mini Jambox is an altogether solid Bluetooth speaker, regardless of what its creator's doing. It's at $50 at Best Buy (and Amazon), which looks to be a $30 discount.

- We haven't finished testing the new Moto G, so take this with a grain of salt, but if you're set on buying it anyway, it's available with a $50 Best Buy gift card.

So, again, it's underwhelming. But if you're looking for a new TV or media streamer, you might not have to go through Amazon to get something solid.
