We live in a world where privacy is no longer a given. Day by day we hear stories about smart devices spying on us, mobile phones getting hacked and spyware running rampant through the system.

It’s gotten to the point where privacy is now a marketing campaign, another ‘tick’ on the checklist of product features - design, specs and privacy! Through the myriad of controversies surrounding major tech companies and their approach to privacy, Apple has been the exception to the rule.

Barring a few little missteps, the Cupertino giant has remained unscathed when it comes to its privacy systems and policies, so it’s little wonder that they are now pushing that to the fore with their latest marketing campaign for India.

Launched on TV, YouTube and other Social platforms and targeting metro hubs in the country, i.e., Bengaluru, Gurugram and Mumbai. Apple wants you to know that they have the most secure devices out there.

Their claims aren’t completely false either, they already have features baked into the systems that enhance user privacy such as compulsory verification via Apple ID to use a iOS device and greater control for users to choose what data they share with apps.

Speaking to IANS, Apple said, “Data collection is limited to the user's name and email address, and Apple's private email relay lets users receive email even if they prefer to keep their address private. Apple will not track users as they interact with your app, All accounts are protected with two-factor authentication for superior security, and Apple will not track users' activity in your app or website.”
