Arunachal Pradesh has two parliamentary constituencies namely Arunachal East and Arunachal West. Both the constituencies went for polling for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on April 11, 2019 during the first phase of elections throughout the country. When it came to elections results, the state of Arunachal Pradesh was equally divided between the BJP and Congress during the 2014 elections with the Congress party winning from Arunachal East and the BJP winning the Arunachal West seat.

Ninong Ering of Congress from the East and Kiren Rijiju of BJP from the West are the sitting MPs now. The competition is now tough once again between the BJP and Congress. The Congress party had fielded Lowancha Wanglet. He contested with BJP’s Tapir Gao and JD(S)’ Bandey Mili. The BJP had once again fielded its sitting MP Kiren Rijiju from Arunachal West. He is one of the most popular figures in this region. He was now up against Nabum Tuki of the Congress party and Jarjum Ete of the JD(S). Along with the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the state of Arunachal Pradesh is now waiting for the results of 60 Assembly seats that went for polling simultaneously.
