Goa, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country tops the list with 45.2 percent car ownership in the state.

Kerala comes in second with 24.2 percent of households in the southern state owning a car.

The data includes ownership in the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. At the third position, the two UTs have 23.7 percent of car ownership.
