Mahindra Defence Systems (MDS), a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, has commenced the supply of the Armado to the Indian armed forces. This cutting-edge Armoured Light Specialist Vehicle (ALSV) has been meticulously crafted and engineered by Mahindra.

Engine

The Mahindra Armado is equipped with a powerful 215hp, 500Nm, 3.2-litre turbo-diesel engine.

Top speed

With its 4x4 drivetrain, the Armado attains a maximum speed of 120 km/h.

Capable of carrying a crew of up to four individuals, the vehicle boasts of an impressive maximum payload capacity of 1,000 kg.

For enhanced protection, the Armado is fortified with ballistic armour, offering formidable resistance against B7 STANAG Level II projectile threats.

Exclusive features

The Armado is equipped with Bilstein independent suspensions on all four corners, ensuring exceptional off-road performance. It’s fitted with 318/80 R17 tires, capable of running for up to 50km without air or puncture. It also features a centralised tire inflation system for added convenience.

Features

Its range of advanced features include a public address (PA) system, GPS navigation, an automatic grenade launcher, an electric winch, and an HF/UHF/VHF radio. Furthermore, it is equipped with a self-cleaning-type exhaust scavenging and air filtration system.
