Skoda Kodiaq: Highlights of the new SUV including price, specs and features

...its sports utility vehicle (SUV) Kodiaq, launched today, January 10.

The new SUV will be a rival to Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sorento.

Models

The SUV is launched in three models — Style, SportsLine, and Laurin and Klement.

Price

The starting price of the car is ₹34.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The price of the mid-variant and the top model is ₹35,99,000 and ₹37,49,000 respectively.

Colours

Skoda Kodiaq is available in 6 different colours — Lava Blue Metallic, Moon White Metallic, Magic Black Metallic, Graphite Grey Metallic, Race Blue Metallic, Steel Grey Metallic.

Engine

This one comes with a 2-litre turbocharged stratified injection (TSI) petrol engine with 7-speed direct-shift gearbox (DSG) automatic transmission, which can generate maximum output of 190 pferdestarke (PS) and 320 newton metres (NM) as maximum torque.

New external features

New Kodiaq offers a hexagonal grille, which has undergone design changes with sport crystalline LED headlights.

New internal features

The car features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and wireless connectivity and features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay It also has a 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster with three zones of automatic climate control.

Safety features

The SUV comes with nine airbags along with other safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), miniature circuit breaker (MCB), adaptive front-lighting system (AFS), anti-lock braking system (ABS) and anti-slip regulation (ASR).
