Tata Motors launches Tigor EV — All you need to know about the compact electric sedan

The new Tata Tigor EV is currently available for pre-booking at an amount of ₹21,000.

Battery pack and engine

It has a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and generates 73.75 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.

Safety features

The safety features include dual airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), corner stability control, hill ascent control and hill descent control.

Charging details

It accepts both normal and fast charging from any 15 A plug point. Using a fast charger will enable the battery to be charged up to 80 percent in one hour.

Warranty

It has been driven and proven for 35 million kilometres and comes with a 8-year motor and battery pack warranty.

The boot space is 255 litres. The car also gets sleek adjustable headlamps with projector units.

Range

It has a range of 213 km/charge. It comes as the second electric car from the brand with Ziptron technology, after Nexon EV.

It is a 5-seater electric car. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system connected to a Harman audio system. It also offers over 30 connected car features.

Price

The Tigor EV goes on sale on August 31 and the exact price has not been announced yet.
