The 2024 Nissan X-Trail is expected to kick off the month with a launch on August 1. The car will be brought to India as a completely built-up unit (CBU). The car, which is making a comeback in India after over a decade is expected to be with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The Citroen Basalt coupe SUV is expected to be unveiled on August 2, taking on the upcoming Tata Curvv. The car will be equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine from the company’s C3 Aircross SUV and offer a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, automatic climate control and more.

Tata Motors first showcased the Curvv EV concept in India in April 2022. The car is now scheduled to launch in India on August 7, making it the latest electric SUV from the Indian automaker. It is expected to offer a range of up to 500 km on a single charge and is expected to offer features such as ADAS, a panoramic sunroof and more.

The much-awaited Mahindra Thar Roxx is scheduled to be launched in the country on August 15. The bigger version of Thar will be offered in a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine option. The car is expected to offer features such as a large infotainment system, automatic climate control, six airbags, a 360-degree camera and more.

Coming to the premium segment, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe, which is expected to be priced above INR 60 lakh will be launched in the second week of August. The car, which will be the top-spec variant in the GLC lineup will offer a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The most expensive car that will launch in India this month is the Lamborghini Urus SE. The Urus SE is the company’s first plug-in hybrid sports SUV from the company and will be launched in India with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, along with a plug-in hybrid system with a 25.9 kWh battery pack.
