Here’s the list of top electric car launches to watch for in 2020

Porsche Taycan is expected to hit the market somewhere towards the second half of this year. The Porsche Taycan is the Porsche first electric car and has a clean, simple design.

The car is expected to be priced at ₹1.08 crore on-road. The car, with its 800-volt chargers, can fast charge its electric motors within 15 minutes with a range up to 400 km.

The Audi e-tron, which was unveiled locally last year, is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2020. The car is powered by a 95 kWh battery mounted beneath the passenger compartment.

With the help of fast DC charging stations at up to 150 kW, the Audi e-tron can be charged to 80% capacity in just 30 minutes. Audi e-tron is likely to be priced around ₹1 crore (ex-showroom).

The Mahindra eKUV100 launched at the Auto Expo 2020 is priced around ₹8.25 lakhs , making it the most affordable electric car in India. The car comes with a 15.9kWh battery pack that supports fast-charging option and can juice up the battery by up to 80% in just one hour.

The e-KUV100 offers a range of 147km with this battery pack. Along with this, the car is fully equipped with standard safety features such as rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, front seat belt alert and overspeeding alert.

Mercedes-Benz India has revealed the electric vehicle Mercedes EQC, which is expected to launch by the end of 2020. The electric car will be priced at about ₹1.4 crore.

The car is powered by an 80 kWh Li-Ion battery pack. The car, with its150kW DC charger, can fast charge its electric motors within 30 minutes.

Jaguar I-Pace will introduce its first electric SUV in India during the festival season, this year. The car went on sale internationally in March 2018. With a 50kW DC charger, the Jaguar’s 90kWh battery pack can be juiced for a range of around 270km in just an hour.
