2022 is almost over and the Indian automotive market is still experiencing strong demand. To ride this demand, a number of brands are updating their line-up for the upcoming year.

2022 saw several new launches, and 2023 will be no different. Business Insider India gives you a glimpse into the new cars to be launched in 2023. The list includes sedans, hatchbacks and SUVs from brands like Honda, Toyota, Maruti, Hyundai, and many more.

Upcoming cars in 2023


Maruti Baleno Cross


The Baleno Cross is likely to be Maruti Suzuki’s first new launch of 2023. It will be a beefed-up version of Baleno. The new Baleno Cross is expected to get a slew of new features and is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023.

Hyundai Creta Facelift


One of the most-awaited launches from Hyundai will be the Creta Facelift. It is expected that Creta Facelift will be offered with the existing 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre petrol engines and the same 1.5-litre diesel engine. In terms of design, Creta Facelift could get a redesigned front bumper and an upgraded interior along with some new features.

New-Gen Hyundai Verna


Alongside the Creta Facelift, Hyundai could launch the new generation Verna at the 2023 Auto Expo and it is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2023.

Several spy images suggest that the car could sport a completely revamped exterior similar to the global Sonata and Elantra. The new-gen Hyundai could sport some new features like advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift


The latest spy images of the updated Grand i10 Nios suggest that the car could have a mildly updated exterior and some minor updates to the interior. The car is expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and it could go on sale by mid 2023.

Maruti Jimny


Reportedly, Maruti Suzuki is working on a 5-door Jimny for the Indian market. The car has been spotted being put to tests in India several times. Maruti Jimny is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023.

Hyundai Ai3


Hyundai’s Ai3 will lock horns with Tata’s Punch. Reportedly, the car is a completely new product based on the Santro. It is expected to have a quirky design and several new features.

Kia Seltos facelift


Like the Creta, Kia’s Seltos will also get a facelift variant in 2023. This facelifted model gets some subtle design changes and different new features like an ADAS and a complete digital instrument cluster. The car is expected to be revealed at the Auto Expo 2023.

Tata Harrier / Safari facelift


Tata’s Harrier and Safari could also get facelift variants. The facelift variant could see a new design on the exterior, a bigger touchscreen, ADAS and a 360-degree camera. Similar to Hyundai, Tata could unveil both of these cars at the Auto Expo 2023.

Mahindra Thar 5-door


Spy images suggest that Mahindra is now working on the much-awaited 5-door Thar. The 5-door Thar will offer more practicality compared to the 3-door model.

Spy images suggest the 5-door Thar will have the same design but will get more features. Mahindra is likely to unveil the 5-door Thar on 15th August 2023.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus


Another SUV from Mahindra could be the Bolero Neo Plus. The Bolero Neo Plus will be available in 7 and 9-seat configurations. Mahindra could launch the Bolero Neo Plus in the first half of 2023.

Toyota Innova HyCross


Toyota has already showcased the new Hycross in Indonesia. Now the company will be unveiling the car soon in India. The car is expected to hit the Indian market mid-2023.

Nissan X-Trail


Nissan’s X-Trail could lock horns with the Toyota Fortuner as it has an aggressive design and a slew of features. There is no expected launch date but Nissan could showcase X-Trail at the Auto Expo 2023.

Toyota Belta


The Belta could be launched by March 2023. The Toyota Belta could be powered by a Maruti Suzuki’s 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. In terms of design and features, the car will be similar to Ciaz.

Citroen sub-4-metre compact SUV


The compact SUV from Citroen could make its debut sometime in 2023. As for the powertrain, the SUV will continue to use a 1.2-litre petrol engine. It could have a price tag of ₹7-₹11 lakh (ex-showroom).

Honda HR-V


This five-seater SUV is expected to launch in India by mid-2023. The car will lock horns against Hyundai Creta, Maruti Brezza and Kia Seltos.
