The Volvo XC40 Recharge will be launched in the Indian market next month. Volvo will be the first luxury brand to offer a locally assembled EV in India. XC40 Recharge will be assembled at the company’s Hosakote plant in Karnataka.

Volvo XC40 Recharge packs a 78kWh battery that will power two electric motors, producing a combined output of 402bhp and 660 Nm of torque.

According to the company, XC40 Recharge can go up to 418km on a single charge.

11kW AC charger takes 8-10 hours for 0-100 percent charge whereas a 150kW DC fast charger takes 40 minutes for 0-80 percent charge.
