China tops the list of self-made billionaires with 1,050 such wealthy individuals. In fact, China is the only country with over a thousand billionaires. The cumulative wealth of these individuals stood at $3,756 billion.

The United States of America is second in the list with close to half i.e., 523 self-made billionaires as compared to China. Despite half the number, the total wealth of these individuals was close to that of China’s at $3,554 billion.

India ranks third in the list of self-made billionaires with 119 such individuals and a cumulative wealth of $474 billion.

The United Kingdom secured fourth position in the list with 114 self-made billionaires. The total wealth of these people stood at ₹395 billion.

Russia has 72 self-made billionaires and ranks fifth in the list. The cumulative wealth of these individuals stood at $320 billion.

The European country ranks sixth in the list of self-made billionaires with 47 such rich individuals. The cumulative wealth of these people stood at $196 billion.

The seventh largest European country in size stood seventh even in the list of self-made billionaires of 42 such individuals. The cumulative wealth of these individuals stood at $172 billion.

France was the eighth country on the list of top countries with self-made billionaires. It has 32 billionaires with cumulative wealth of $286 billion.
