Amazon is expanding its Flex program across 35 cities in India, through which any user can start delivering packages and earn money by the hour.

Through the Amazon Flex app, users with two-wheelers can sign up, choose their schedule to deliver packages. To ensure safety, Amazon conducts a comprehensive background verification process of its new delivery partners, in addition to hands-on training. Those who sign up for the programme can be a part of Amazon’s delivery force, and earn up to ₹120-₹140 an hour.

Amazon said that the expansion of the program from 3 cities in June 2019 to 35 cities in June 2020 has created tens of thousands of part-time opportunities for students, homemakers and more.

“Amazon Flex partners enjoy the part time opportunity to earn more, especially at this time when the country is economically recovering from the impact of the nationwide lockdown. Their safety remains our top priority, and we are taking the right precautions, and have implemented a series of preventative health measures," said Prakash Rochlani, Director, Last Mile Transportation, Amazon India.

Last year, India was the seventh country where Amazon launched the flex programme.
