The Air India deal with Boeing is pegged at $34 billion (approx. INR 2.79 lakh crore). It is the third biggest deal for Boeing in monetary terms.

Hailing the deal as historical, American president Joe Biden said that this agreement would help create 1 million jobs in America.

In addition to acquiring these plans, Air India can purchase an additional 50 737 MAX and 20 787-9 Dreamliners. This will take the order value to $45.9 billion (approx. INR 3.76 lakh crore).
