Cottonseed oil cake futures gain on robust demand

New Delhi, Feb 5 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday edged up by Rs 22 to Rs 1,779 per quintal in futures trade due to accumulation of positions by traders amid upbeat trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake contracts for February delivery rose by Rs 22, or 1.25 per cent, to Rs 1,779 per quintal in 44,630 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake contracts for March gained Rs 21, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 1,796 per quintal in 69,630 lots.

Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid rising demand from cattle feed makers mainly influenced prices here. VHP SHWSHW
