Cottonseed oil cake futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Feb 11 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday traded up by Rs 14 to Rs 1,768 per quintal in futures trade after speculators created fresh positions on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in February traded higher by Rs 14, or 0.80 per cent, at Rs 1,768 per quintal with an open interest of 29,590 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 19, or 1.07 per cent, at Rs 1,791 per quintal with an open interest of 73,640 lots.

Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid a rising demand from cattle-feed makers mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices here. VHP RUJRUJ
