Guar gum futures gain on positive demand

New Delhi, June 3 () Guar gum prices on Wednesday gained Rs 152 to Rs 5,475 per five quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery traded higher by 2.86 per cent, or Rs 152, to Rs 5,475 per five quintal with an open interest of 14,045 lots.

Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trends, traders raised their bets which led to rise in guar gum prices.

However, the contracts for delivery in July declined by Rs 160, or 2.98 per cent, to Rs 5,529 per five quintal as open interest stood at 29,115 lots. SHW RUJ RUJ
