Guar gum futures slide on subdued demand

New Delhi, Feb 28 () Guar gum prices on Friday eased by Rs 123 to Rs 6,018 per five quintal in futures market as traders trimmed their holdings in line with weak trend at the spot market.

Marketmen said trimming of positions by participants amid weak demand mainly dragged down guar gum prices here.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for March delivery fell by Rs 123, or 2 per cent, to Rs 6,018 per five quintal in 24,330 lots.

Guar gum for April delivery eased by Rs 129, or 2.07 per cent, to Rs 6,088 per five quintal in 34,875 lots. VHP SHWSHW
