Mustard seed futures rise on spot demand
New Delhi, Mar 27 () Mustard seed prices on Friday rose by Rs 10 to Rs 4,087 per quintal in futures trade as participants widened their bets amid firm spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustard seed for delivery in April rose by Rs 10, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 4,087 per quintal with an open interest of 15,560 lots.

Similarly, the delivery for May went up by Rs 6, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 4,010 per quintal with an open interest of 16,300 lots.

Marketmen said apart from restricted arrivals from growing belts, demand from oil mills in spot market mainly lifted mustard seed prices here. VHP SHWSHW
