Nickel futures ease on low demand

New Delhi, Feb 21 () Nickel prices on Friday fell by Rs 7.9 to Rs 933.20 per kg in futures trade due to reducing of positions by speculators amid sluggish demand at spot market.

The trading in the first half was closed on account of 'Mahashivratri'.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 7.9, or 0.84 per cent, to Rs 933.20 per kg with a business turnover of 1,059 lots.

Similarly, nickel contracts for March delivery dropped by Rs 8.30, or 0.88 per cent, to Rs 931.40 per kg in 265 lots.

Analysts said subdued demand at spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here. VHP SHWSHW
