Nickel futures fall on soft demand

New Delhi, Feb 14 () Nickel prices on Friday declined by Rs 5.80 to Rs 955.50 per kg in futures trade due to reducing of positions by speculators amid sluggish demand at spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 5.80, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 955.50 per kg with a business turnover of 2,316 lots.

Similarly, nickel contracts for March delivery dropped by Rs 5.60, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 953.80 per kg in 29 lots.

Analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here. VHP SHWSHW
