Refined soya oil futures fall on tepid demand

New Delhi, Jan 22 () Refined soya oil prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 7.4 to Rs 873 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 7.4, or 0.84 per cent, to Rs 873 per 10 kg in 55,605 lots.

The refined soya oil contracts for March dropped by Rs 5.4, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 864.2 per 10 kg in 27,165 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. VHP RUJ RUJ
