Refined soya oil futures fall on tepid demand

New Delhi, Feb 17 () Refined soya oil prices on Monday fell by Rs 2.8 to Rs 836.4 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand at spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February declined by Rs 2.8, or 0.33, to Rs 836.4 per 10 kg in 11,485 lots.

The refined soya oil contracts for March dropped by Re 1, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 817.4 per 10 kg in 54,815 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. VHP SHWSHW
