“India has delivered extraordinary growth for us,” Millham noted, adding that the rapid expansion of its employee base in the country is equally impressive. Bhattacharya also clarified that Salesforce does not approach its Indian workforce from a cost-saving perspective. Instead, the company focuses on the abundant talent available in the country. "We don't see any talent shortages here, and we’re committed to growing our team in India," she said.
Additionally, Salesforce has been working to expand its ecosystem in India through various initiatives. One key initiative includes nurturing over 2 million "Trailblazers" — Salesforce-certified professionals in the country. Another major effort is a partnership with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), through which Salesforce plans to train more than 200,000 individuals via internships. This initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to grow a skilled workforce capable of driving innovation and supporting Salesforce’s growing influence in the Indian market.
