According to a UNESCO report, over 290 million students across 22 countries will be impacted because of the COVID-19 crisis. The UNESCO had also proposed distance learning as the way ahead.

“With 250 million school-going students in India, it is of paramount importance that their health is protected while also ensuring that their learning does not get interrupted,” said Byju's.

As the number of infected people shot up, governments have been taking action to prevent the spread of the virus. The Delhi government announced that all schools will be shut until March 31.
