Top companies to work for in India

Here are the top companies to work for in India, as per LinkedIn’s 2023 Top Companies list. Factors such as attrition, upskilling of employees and how employees are advancing within the firm have been considered for the report.

Tata Consultancy Services

Indian IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has emerged as the top company to work for on the list. TCS had recently said that it was looking to hire professionals laid off by startups. In fact, the company has never withdrawn offer letters to freshers as is the industry practice now.

Amazon

American e-commerce giant Amazon has emerged as the second-best company to work for in India. In addition to offering a good work environment, Amazon offers up to 26 weeks of maternity leave and up to 6 weeks of paternity leave.

Morgan Stanley

Next on the list is American investment bank and financial services company Morgan Stanley. The company’s top locations in India include Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune. Globally, it is known to offer best-in-class health insurance to employees.

Reliance Industries

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries is fourth on the list of the top 10 companies to work for even though it has 3,00,000 employees. The company is into several new and futuristic businesses that allow young professionals to grow.

Macquarie Group

Australian financial services company Macquarie Group has emerged as the fifth company on the list. It offers flexible work options to employees and is known for offering good remuneration and benefits to employees.

Deloitte

Deloitte, which is part of the ‘Big Four’ global accounting firms, is also a part of the list. The company offers services such as audit and assurance, taxation, financial advisory, and more. The company has hired over 5,000 employees in the last three years.

NAV Fund Administration Group

American hedge fund administrator NAV Fund Administration Group is the seventh company on the list. It offers fund accounting, reporting and valuation services to investment funds.

Schneider Electric

The eighth company on the list is the European energy management company Schneider Electric. In February 2023, the company announced its plans to invest ₹1,400 crore in India to set up five new factories, in addition to its existing 30 factories.

Viatris

Global pharmaceutical giant Viatris, which makes generic drugs for infectious and non-communicable diseases, is ninth on the list. One of its global centres is located in Hyderabad.

Royal Caribbean Group

Royal Caribbean Group, one of the world’s largest cruise lines, operates a large number of vessels around the world. In India, Mumbai is the primary location for the company.
