The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is expected to release the CBSE Class 10th Results sometime in the next week (2nd week of May 2019). Earlier there were wide spread speculations that the results might be out on May 5, 2019. However, the board has confirmed recently that the results of the CBSE 10th class exams will be declared soon in this week.
The CBSE class 10th results can be checked on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in. Some other third party websites like examresults.in, indiaresults.com and results.gov.in also publish these results for the convenience of the candidates.
In the academic year 2018-19, CBSE conducted the class 10th exams between February 21 and March 29, 2019. The official statistics released by the board says around 18.19 lakh students appeared for the CBSE 10th Board Exam 2019.
During the last academic year 2017-18, CBSE announced the results on May 29, 2019 at 4pm. Approximately 16.38 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th Board Exams in 2018. The board said that the pass percentage for CBSE 2018 Class 10th Exams was 86.07%. About 88.67% girls and 85.32% boys passed in these examinations.
In this year, a total number of 31,14,821 students appeared for the CBSE class 10 and class 12 board exams put together. CBSE Class 12th results were declared by the CBSE on May 2, 2019. Earlier there were speculations that the CBSE results for 12th class will be announced only in the third week of May 2019. In fact it came as a surprise to many people that the 12th class results were declared on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
There were widespread talks that the CBSE class 10th results will be announced either on May 5 or May 6 2019. Ruling out such assumptions, CBSE public relations officer Rama Sharma said what has been circulated in the social media is only a fake news. And that the board will announce the schools and students regarding the date of declaration of results. In her message, she had stated, “It is to inform all principals, students, parents and public that the CBSE Class 10 results will not be declared today (May 5, 2019)” Sharma added in her message that CBSE will "duly inform students about the date, time and arrangements to access results, through official communication".
The class 10 board exams conducted by the CBSE took place in about 4,974 centers across the country. There were also 72 exam centers abroad.
CBSE is the national level education board in India established to control the public and private schools in the country and abroad following the syllabus offered by the board. The Union Government of India controls and manages the CBSE. Approximately, the board manages about 19,500 schools in India and more than 200 schools spread across 28 countries abroad. CBSE provides affiliation to all the Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country in addition to the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and all the private schools approved by the Central Government in the country and abroad.
