Chart shows how long it has been since Tiger Woods won a PGA Tour event
Tiger Woods is back.
On Thursday, Woods teed off in the Hero World Challenge, his first tournament in ten months and his first event since his fourth back surgery and his arrest in May. The early results looked good for Tiger, but there is still a long ways to go before we start talking about him winning tournaments.
Woods' last tournament win came way back in 2013, at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. How long ago was that? Consider that since Woods' last win, 105 different golfers have won a PGA Tour event and Jordan Spieth has won ten times. In all, 17 golfers have won at least three events since Woods last raised a trophy outside of his home.
In other words, it has been a long time since Tiger won.
