In the state of Telangana, TRS has won 9 seats, Congress has won 3 seats, while BJP took 4 seats.

Telangana has 17 Lok Sabha constituencies and all of them went for 2019 Lok Sabha elections polling on the same day. When the country began its first phase of polling on April 11, 2019, Telangana voted from all its constituencies. Telangana gave a sweeping victory to the TRS during the assembly polls last year. The party is not facing the elections with the same enthusiasm given by the overwhelming victory.

The state sees a triangular contest and the other parties in opposition namely the Congress and the BJP are now focusing on a select few seats hoping to win them for the parliament. The Nizamabad constituency has claimed the maximum amount of attention from the whole of the country as there are 185 candidates lined up to try their luck during 2019 Lok Sabha elections, all of them eagerly waiting for the results. More than 170 of these contesting candidates are farmers.

The present ballot units of the EVMs can fit in only 16 candidates and hence the election commission had set up 12 ballot units in all the polling booths of the Nizamabad constituency to record the votes by the electors. The winning candidate from this constituency is all set to move to the limelight on the result day.
