Update your software
It is important to keep your device up to data as software updates bring bug patches and fix vulnerabilities on your device.
Here’s how you can check for updated on your device:

For iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
Go to Settings, click on General and then click on Software Update.
If an update is available, tap on Download and Install.
For Mac
Go to System Preferences and click on Software Update.
If an update is available, click on Upgrade Now.
Unknown sign-in
If a new device signs-in using your Apple ID, you get a notification on your existing device along with the approximate location of the device. If you do not recognize the device, click on Don’t Allow to stop the user from signing in.
It is also important to change your password as this means someone else has access to your ID and password.

Change Apple ID password
Click on Settings, then tap on your name and go to Password and Security.
Now, tap on Change Password.
Now, enter your existing password and enter a new Password.
Then, tap on Change Password.
Enable two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication is an additional layer of security and allows you to ensure that only you can access your Apple account.
For iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
Go to Settings, tap on your name and then click on Password and Security.
Now, click on Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.
Tap Continue.
Now, enter your phone number and tap Next.
Enter the verification code received on your phone to enable two-factor authentication.
For Mac

Go to Apple Menu, click on System Preferences and then click on Apple ID.
Now, click on Password and Security.
Then, click on the Turn On button next to Two-Factor Authentication.
Location sharing
Location Services allows you to manage which apps can access your location and when. You can also turn off your location and prevent all apps from accessing your location.
Go to Settings and click on Privacy.
Now, go to Location Services.
You can now turn off Location Services or manage location access for particular apps.
Delete unknown third-party apps
If you come across a third-party app that you don’t remember installing, it is suggested to remove the app from your device,
Touch and hold the app.
Tap Remove App and then click on Delete App.
Now, click on Delete.
Restore factory settings
