Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S20: Glossy vs Boring
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro upholds its flagship credentials with extremely thin bezels and curved display design. Most of the front of the Mi 10 Pro is covered by the stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display, while the back of the phone is bare except for the camera module and the Mi branding. The glossy back is also curved, which makes it easy to hold the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S20, on the other hand, has a comparatively boring, yet functional design. Like the Mi 10 Pro, its front is mostly covered by the display which has a punch hole notch. The back of the phone is curved and has an understated look – which is nothing to brag about.
Large camera modules have become a trend of late – the iPhone 11 and the Pixel 4 both have large modules. The same is the case with the Galaxy S20 as well, but it does look much better due to its rectangular design.
Overall, the Galaxy S20 wins in terms of design, in part due to its understated looks coupled with an aesthetically pleasing placement of the notch as well as the rear cameras.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S20: Display
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro features a big 6.67-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a punch hole notch that houses a selfie camera at the top-left corner. The curved display might not be to everyone’s liking, but it does look premium and aesthetically pleasing.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S20 is slightly smaller and less curvy 6.2-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the Mi 10 Pro, it has a punch hole notch that houses the front camera.
While both the Mi 10 Pro and the Galaxy S20 might seem comparable on paper, the S20 has a far better display with a much higher resolution and higher refresh rate. This makes the display a lot sharper and smoother when compared to the Mi 10 Pro.
