Quentin Tarantino is auctioning NFTs of 7 never-before-seen clips from Pulp Fiction

Film buffs and crypto fanatics can now own a piece of Quenten Tarantino's acclaimed Pulp Fiction.

The well-known movie director is selling never-before-seen clips and scripts from the 1994 film as NFTs. The seven so-called "secret" NFTs will be sold on the OpenSea marketplace, a Tuesday statement said.



The collection includes the uncut first handwritten scripts of the movie as well as secrets about the film and its creator, the release said. The so-called secret NFTs are "enhanced with privacy and access control features to create hidden content and experiences" for the owner, according to the website. The owners can keep the secret, share to close confidants, or expose to the world.

"I'm excited to be presenting these exclusive scenes from PULP FICTION to fans." Tarantino said in the release. "Secret Network and Secret NFTs provide a whole new world of connecting fans and artists and I'm thrilled to be a part of that."

Tarantino is the latest in the string of athletes, celebrities, and popular brands to get into NFTs. The market for the tokens, which are digital collectibles verified on the blockchain, has ballooned this year, garnering $10.7 billion in trading volume in the third quarter alone, a 704% jump from $2 billion in the three months prior.

Though many of Tarantino's films are widely enjoyed, the press release said Pulp Fiction "stands out," considering it scored seven Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and Tarantino received the Oscar for Best Screenplay.
