The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020 has been postponed to August 22, said the Consortium of National Law Universities. As per the notification, the last date for online applications is now July 10, 2020.

“The CLAT 2020 shall be conducted through a computer-based, online, centre-based test to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020,” the official notice said. The development comes in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, the CLAT examination was supposed to take place on May 24 — which was again rescheduled to June 21 and postponed.

The applicants will be required to confirm their test centres again and can also withdraw their resignation by July 10, it added. “Where a candidate withdraws from CLAT 2020, their application fee shall be refunded after a deduction of ₹400 for SC/ST candidates and ₹500 for all other candidates towards processing charges. Refunds will be made by July 18, 2020,” it said.

The appearing candidates will be required to perform 150 questions in two hours. The aspirants need to score 40% marks to clear the examination. While for the reserved categories, the passing percentage is 35%.
