GSEB SSC class 10th result 2020: Pass percentage declines by 6.3% to 60.6% this year

Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSEB) just declared the class 10th board results today, around 8 am. According to a TOI report, the overall pass percentage this year stood at 60.64% — a 6.3% drop from last year.

In 2019, 66.9% students passed the examination — that accounts for 551,023 students.

Students can check their result on the official website gseb.org. The students are required to score at least grade D to qualify. Those scoring grade E1 or E2 will have to sit for supplementary exam to pass.

The GSEB SSC examinations were held between March 5 and March 17, 2020 — and over 11 lakh students appeared for the exam across 1,548 centres.

  • Fill in your details and click submit.
  • Download the result for future reference.
Last year, the state board declared the class 10th results on May 21, 2020.

Earlier, board Chairman Ajay Shah said that the results of class 10th and class 12th Arts and Commerce examination will be released in the first week of June. However, the result date for class 12th arts and commerce is yet to be announced.

“The evaluation process of the SSC and HSC papers were completed in May. The exam was deferred in mid-April due to the lockdown. The post-evaluation process will be completed soon, following which the results of SSC, HSC (general stream) exams will be released this week,” the chairman earlier said.
