This year’s admit card will also have instructions on social distancing. Over 15 lakh students are expected to appear across 155 cities in India. The NTA has increased the number of centres in the country from 2546 to 3842. The average number of candidates per centre was brought down to 416 from 597 last year.

This comes even as the clamour over the postponement of exams is growing louder. Thousands of students have been demanding postponement of the examination. Political leaders like BJP MP Subramanian Swamy and DMK President MK Stalin have come out in their support; so has climate activist Greta Thunberg. However, NTA has clarified recently that exams will take place in September as scheduled.

NEET 2020, which has been postponed several times due to COVID-19, is scheduled to be held on September 13, 2020, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

NTA advised students and parents to visit the official website www.nta.ac.in and www.ntaneet.nic.in for the latest information.
