Located in California, Stanford is one of the most prestigious research universities in the world. With a 7.1 percent acceptance rate, it is one of the toughest universities to get into. The university also offers financial aid for needed students regardless of their citizenship.

Wharton, which is located in Philadelphia, also has a 9 percent acceptance rate with multiple rounds for the selection process. The institute also offers financial aid and scholarships to its students based on their unique personal qualities and background.
