The report reveals that people were interested in trending music by tuning into popular weekly charts.

​When did India tune in to their favorite content?

Saturdays were observed to be the highest streaming day of the week. Constituting 45per cent of the total stream, people mostly listened to the music from 10 am to 2 pm.

​Popular languages streamed on the platform

In addition to Hindi and English, Telugu and Punjabi were some popular streamed languages, with more than 2 Billion and 1 Billion streams, respectively.Bhojpuri, Tamil, Kannada, Haryanvi, Bengali, and Marathi were some top-played languages.

​Favorite Hindi music

‘Dhokha’ by Arijit Singh topped the Hindi chart. ‘Kesariya’, ‘Maiyya Mainu’, ‘Kuch Baatein’ and ‘Tumse Pyaar Karke’ were also among other popular Hindi songs.

​Favorite songs from the Punjabi language

Sidhu Mossewala's popular hits dominated the Punjabi playlist, among which ‘Levels’ and ‘The Last Ride’ were among the top-played songs. Never Fold, Pasoori, and Beliya were also popular hits.

Bollywood, Duet, Desi-indie, Telugu film, and Devotional, were the popular genres for the Indian audience. While people also streamed Desi Hip Hop and Kollywood genres.

The listeners showed the most interest in listening to 'storytelling podcasts'. Also, ‘Dil Mein Ho Tum - Romantic Audiobook by Monika Patidar’ was the most streamed podcast on the platform.
