- Jennifer Lopez dropped the trailer for her new movie "This Is Me...Now: A Love Story" on Wednesday.
- However, fans are confused about the film and walked away with more questions than answers.
The trailer for Jennifer Lopez's upcoming Amazon Prime Video movie — or at least, we think it's a movie — has baffled the internet.
On Wednesday, Lopez shared the trailer for "This is Me…Now: A Love Story," which will be released on the same day as her upcoming album of the same name.
According to the trailer, the project is Lopez's "story in her own words."
Lopez will star alongside her husband, Ben Affleck.
However, users on X, formerly known as Twitter, were left confused about what "This Is Me…Now: A Love Story" actually is. Is it a narrative feature? A visual album à la Beyoncé's "Lemonade?" No one can quite work it out.
"What even is this???" one user wrote. "I mean it looks insane, but I'm so intrigued? Is it a movie? A visual album? An accompaniment? She's a sex addict who works in a nuclear post apocalyptic factory? Idk but I'm sat."
“Being with you feels like home, but I left home for a reason” WHAT??? What even is this??? I mean it looks insane, but I’m so intrigued? Is it a movie? A visual album? An accompaniment? She’s a sex addict who works in a nuclear post apocalyptic factory? Idk but I’m sat https://t.co/6qUxFe4Aex

The main source of the confusion is that the film appears to span multiple genres. In the trailer, J.Lo gives us action, rom-com, comedy, and even sci-fi as she dances on what looks like an alien planet.
Lopez's love life is the central theme that ties it all together, and the trailer hints that the singer will open up in some way about her previous marriages to Marc Anthony, Cris Judd, and Ojani Noa.
Despite the confusion, there is no doubt that Lopez's high-budget visuals have people intrigued to see the full thing.
"I'm sorry but all these visuals and it's only releasing on PRIME????" one X user wrote. "I need to see this on the big screen wtf."

"This is Me…Now: A Love Story," directed by Dave Meyers, is about Lopez's journey of self-healing, according to a press release.
"A narrative-driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical and highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinized love life," the press release added.
One thing the trailer does make clear is that Lopez was heavily involved in making the movie. The trailer notes that the film is from Lopez's "heart," "soul," and "dreams."
Lopez cowrote the movie with Affleck and Matt Walton, reports People.
The film has a star-studded cast, including Keke Palmer, Post Malone, Sofía Vergara, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Lopez's longtime collaborator Fat Joe appears in the trailer as a therapist.
"This is Me…Now: A Love Story" premieres on Prime Video on February 16.
