Prada is selling original outfits, backstage photos, and runway props from Miuccia Prada's final solo show in its first ever charity auction.

The Italian fashion house is auctioning 72 lots from its fall/winter shows held during Milan Fashion Week in January and February. The items include clothes worn by the models, backstage photos and polaroids, seat cards and invitations, runway props, and vinyls with the shows' music.

The auction also includes exclusive garments and accessories that aren't available in stores because they were created as samples for the runway show.

Bidding opened online via auction house Sotheby's on Friday, and will stay open until October 15. The fashion industry has turned to digital shows to present new collections during the pandemic. In September, British brand Burberry livestreamed its summer 2021 show on Twitch, becoming the first luxury fashion brand to broadcast on the platform.

Prada's collection is called "Tools of Memory," and the company will donate proceeds to a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) fund to give educational support to girls impacted by COVID-19.

Milan Fashion Week marked the final solo shows of designer Miuccia Prada, the granddaughter of Prada co-founder Mario Prada. In April, Belgian designer Raf Simons, who has previously designed for Dior and Calvin Klein, joined her as co-creative director.

The highest-ticket item is an outfit with a hand-sewn embroidered organza dress featuring beads and sequins that was worn on the catwalk and isn't available in stores. The outfit, which comes with a necklace, leather bracelet, headband, and shoes, has an estimate of 13,000 to 15,000 euros ($15,300 to $17,600).

Lower priced items include pre-show photos taken by model Gigi Hadid and photographers Daniel Arnold and Philip Meech. The estimates set buyers back a cool 300 to 400 euros ($352 to $470).

Prada is also selling off the centerpieces from the shows which it describes as "highlights" of the auction. Twelve-foot statues of a person on horseback and the Greek titan Atlas, designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and featured at the men's and women's shows respectively, are both listed with estimates of 5,000 to 7,000 euros ($5,900 to $8,200).

As of Monday morning, just over half of the lots had received bids. The most in-demand were a Saffiano leather travel bag and a tartan wool travel bag, each with nine bids – and the latter had already exceeded its highest estimate.
