One of the most popular sharks from Season 1, Asheneer Grover, the cofounder and former managing director of BharatPe is missing from the season 2 trailer.

Ashneer Grover had a controversial exit from BharatPe as he resigned after his wife was removed from the company over alleged misappropriation of funds.

Shark Tank India has roped in Amit Jain, the cofounder, and chief executive officer of CarDekho group, as the new shark for season 2.

Amit Jain, an alumnus of IIT Delhi, began his entrepreneurial journey with GirnarSoft, a software outsourcing company he launched along with his brother. The duo then launched CarDekho after visiting the Auto Expo in New Delhi.

CarDekho was launched in 2008 and was valued at $1.2 billion in October 2021, when it raised $200 million. Apart from India, the company also operates in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Anupam Mittal, the founder, and chief executive officer of the popular matrimonial website Shaadi.com, will continue as a shark in season 2. Mittal had invested ₹5.4 crore in 24 companies in the first season.

boAt cofounder and chief marketing officer Aman Gupta, one of the most popular sharks from season 1, will also continue on the show. Gupta invested ₹9.4 crore in 28 startups during the first season.

Namita Thapar, an executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, will also continue as a shark on the show. Thapar invested ₹6.5 crore in 22 startups during the first season

SUGAR cosmetics cofounder and chief executive officer Vineeta Singh is also confirmed to continue as a shark for season 2. Singh invested ₹3.04 crore in 15 startups during the first season.

Peyush Bansal, the founder, and chief executive officer of popular eyewear giant Lenskart will also return for season 2 of the show. Bansal had invested ₹8.3 crore in 27 startups during the first season.
