SS Rajamouli’s RRR helped India bag its very first Golden Globe as the foot-tapping number ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the award for Best Original Song. Composer M M Keeravani accepted the award, thanking his wife, Srivalli and lyricist, Chandrabose in his speech.

‘Naatu Naatu’ beats Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Rihanna

The song was up against tracks like Carolina by Taylor Swift, Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga, Lift Me Up by Rihanna, and Ciao Papa by Guillermo del Toro, Alexandre Desplat and Roeban Katz.

Massive popularity of Naatu Naatu

The original Telugu version ‘Naatu Naatu’ was uploaded on YouTube eight months ago and to date, has 34 million views. It has also been translated as "Naacho Naacho" in Hindi, "Naattu Koothu" in Tamil, "Halli Naatu" in Kannada, and "Karinthol" in Malayalam.
