Actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot on February 7, 2023, and shared a post on Instagram with their wedding photos. With over 15 million likes at the time of writing, Advani’s Instagram post has become the most-liked photo in India, beating Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif’s wedding posts.

Malhotra and Advani chose Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan as their wedding venue. While the ‘Shershaah’ couple looked every bit as magical as the setting, they’re the latest in a long list of celebrities to get hitched in Rajasthan in India. Take a look:

Rajasthan has long been a celeb favourite for weddings - right from the time 90s’ Bollywood diva Raveena Tandon married film distributor Anil Thadani at Jag Mandir Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan in 2004.

Much like Malhotra and Advani, actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal kept their relationship under wraps until announcing it to the world with a wedding post. The two tied the knot at the Six Senses Fort Banwara resort in Sawai Madhopur on December 9, 2021.

Isha Ambani - Anand Piramal

In 2018, Mukesh Ambani, the richest Indian, chose Udaipur to host the pre-wedding festivities of his daughter, Isha Ambani. She married Anand Piramal, son of industrialist Ajay Piramal. The ceremonies took place at the Oberoi Udaivilas and Lake Palace in Udaipur. American singer Beyoncé performed at one of the functions.

Priyanka Chopra - Nick Jonas

From a pre-wedding cricket match to an elaborate sangeet, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding was the talk of the town. With wedding functions spread across a week, the duo held both Indian and Christian ceremonies, at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in 2018.

American singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand hosted their wedding in 2010 at Aman-e-Khas, a luxury resort outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary. Brand had even proposed to Perry in India at the Taj Mahal in Agra, in 2009. However, after only a year of marriage, the two divorced in 2011.

In 2007, English actor Elizabeth Hurley married Indian businessman Arun Nayar in Jodhpur. As per several reports, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya is all set to tie the knot again with model Nataša Stankovic in Udaipur on February 14, 2023. After Pandya proposed to Stankovic in Dubai in 2020, the two had a low-key court marriage. They also have a son together.
