Tom Holland revealed that he watches a Youtube channel dedicated to solving wooden puzzles to help him relax whenever he's stressed.
On Monday's episode of the "On Purpose with Jay Shetty" podcast, the British actor opened up about his mental health while speaking to host Jay Shetty.
When Shetty mentioned that he was a big fan of puzzles and escape rooms, Holland gave him a recommendation of his own.
"You know what you should watch? I admittedly watch it to go to sleep if I'm ever feeling stressed or, like, overstimulated. I watch this guy called Chris Ramsay — he's like a YouTube guy, he's a magician, but I just watch him solve puzzles," Holland said on the podcast. "He buys these Japanese handcrafted puzzle boxes and he just solves them."
Youtuber Chris Ramsay has about 7.14 million subscribers on his channel and he mostly uploads videos of himself playing around with complex wooden puzzle boxes like these:
Holland also added that he finds it "so relaxing" to see how the entire process plays out.
"I watch his videos because there's just something about the sound of the wood," the 27-year-old said. "I'm a carpenter, so I love the craftsmanship and that sort of stuff — I love the way that these pieces are put together."
Holland shared that Ramsay's channel inspired him to pick up a few puzzle boxes of his own — although he's no good at them.
"I'm terrible at them. Absolutely terrible — I've had an unsolved Rubik's Cube since I was 11," the actor said.
But that doesn't stop him from trying and enjoying the wooden puzzle boxes.
"You sit down for four hours, put it down, pick it up, and try and solve this puzzle, and it's amazing," Holland added.
